With his team sitting three points clear atop the MLS mountain, Columbus boss Sigi Schmid has revealed that he's had to knock back some late trade offers - including some that left him speechless.

While many teams scrambled to make final roster alterations before Monday's freeze, the Crew coach was perfectly content to stand pat and ward off all suitors.
 
"Some teams have called us with interest, but it’s not something we want to do,” Schmid told the Columbus Dispatch.

"We had a team call and ask about starter... I said 'are you kidding?'."
