Cuauhtemoc Blanco buried a penalty kick to go with three assists as Chicago pulled into the Eastern driver seat with a 5-1 humbling of hosts New York on Sunday afternoon.
The Mexico star teed up Chad Barrett after only eight minutes, and three minutes into the second half, set up Chris Rolfe for the doubler.
Blanco made it three from the spot in the 55th minute, and then helped make the play for Barrett's second of the day five minutes later.
Gonzalo Segares connected shortly thereafter, leaving Josmer Altidore to round out the scoring by putting the Red Bulls on the board with 16 minutes left.
