England international Peter Crouch says that he considers playing in the UEFA Cup to be on the same level as competing in the Champions League.

Crouch left Liverpool in the summer to join Portsmouth and will therefore be playing in, what most would consider to be, Europe second biggest competition.

Speaking to the Daily star the striker said: "I've played in the Champions League, but the Uefa Cup is - for me - just as big,"

"And for a club like Portsmouth, it certainly is."
